Course Objectives

Students will receive an overview of the FX field controller product line, create new programs and modify existing applications using the Controller Configuration Tool (CCT).  We will cover configuring the hardware and software settings to enable communications with the controllers, and then proceed to download and test the application.

• Introduction to Wireless Devices
• Creating a New Application
• Simulation Mode for offline testing
• BACnet MS/TP and BACnet/IP Communications

Prerequisites:

• Each student is required to have a Windows based laptop with administrator privileges.
• Students should come to class with CCT tools version 15 or 16 installed 
• Students will use a communication interface to the MSTP controllers for set up and operating. A CWCVT Wireless MS/TP is provided for classroom use. If you would like to program your own CWCVT Wireless MS/TP to take with you, please bring one to the class. These can be purchased from any of the Cochrane Supply locations (Part Number TL-CWCVT-0).
• Students are expected to have a functional working knowledge of Windows and computers, including: understanding navigation, locating files, folder structures, file paths, browser basics, cut/copy/paste, and using a mouse/keyboard (right/left click) in order to be successful in this class.
